Tiltle:  Willow House

Materials:  Living willow

Approx size:  4x4x3 Metres

Location:  Exmoor National Park, Somerset.

Date:  2003-2014

The Willow house is sited within the Brenden Hills  taking advantage of the views over the countryside. This piece of work is made from living willow, first planted in 2003 and trained around a willow frame. The work was eaten by a variety of animals, mostly wild deer,  stray cows and sheep.  Finally, due to a temporary fence around the structure, and a new lightweight steel frame the work has started to take shape.  It’s now strong enough in places to take my weight.
