The Downham Benches were made in respose to designs by children at Downham Primary school, Inspired by the downham woods . The Benches are based on three leaves found on the walk. an Oak leaf, Wych Elm and a Ash leaflet The benches were built as part of wider improvements involving local residents including Mosiacs, Sculpture and access and path repair.
This work and other improvements are being co-ordinated by Arts Express, a charitable arts group who run Community Art projects in and around london
