This work was Made for the Upo Wetlands Nature Art Festival. The design revolves around a bud like form that has split open into 5 sections to reveal gaps in the surface that can be climbed through to gain access to the internal space. The Inside provides a contemplative interior space.
The Artwork stands at approximately 3m high and 2.5 m in diameter.
The minmal structure is made from welded steel and the surface is woven with 2 types of locally sourced wild mountain bamboo.
Like the moment a growing bud opens, Dancing and flame like as though the sculpture is a moment in time, caught in motion.
